Running Office 2010 Pro Plus x86 on Windows 7 Ent x64.

Issue below is occuring for a number of domain users.

Excel periodically hangs, this can occur at opening the app, opening a file, saving, save as, autosaving. There is not an obvious pattern, application white screens and becomes unresponsive. Sometimes it will stay in this state (have left for over an hr) and sometimes a dialog box offering to wait or restart will appear. Neither the app or the process can be killed using task manager and normally will require a restart of the machine to resume normal use.

This can happen using older 2003 .xls files or newly created 2010 .xlsx files, stored either locally or on a domain fileshare.

Have tried: Opening in /safe mode, same issue occurs. No add-ins enabled. Repaired and re-installed office. User profiles reset.
