I'm a student at college trying to help out a professor. I'm supposed to go see her machine to see if she has some settings inadvertently selected but so far here is the issue:

My instructor reports that she received a 2010 .pptx file on email from a colleague and edited it. She saved the file and when she tried to open it again all of her slides were converted to images.

She states that she only clicked the save as feature and nothing else. She doesn't know how to use the features of 2010, much less the conversion features. I have the file and can't find anything on it. There are a couple of things that I thought I could check, see if its marked as "final" on her machine, see if she did it in the open documents format, and see if there is an autosaved version of it I can try to recover. Is there anything else that I'm missing that can cause this? I really need help on this, because is really nailing me and I'm usually pretty good with powerpoint.
