On-line status
We have a mix of Groove 2007 and SharePoint Workspace 2010 users. The online status of members is not showing correctly.
Would having our own in house relay server improve things?
there are still some outstanding issues between Groove 2007 and Sharepoint 2010 users. Sure, having your own in house server "may" improve things but i would check technet first to see if that is a known issue. If you don't have access to technet, let me know and i'll post the question on the partner site at MSFT.
Although it is a mix of 2007 and 2010 systems it is not limited to 2007 vs 2010. I have 2010 and was unable to get correct online status for another 2010 user.
I don't know if I have access to technet. Since I don't know I suspect I don't.

I am not an MSFT partner, at least as far as I know. Not sure what that is.
To my knowledge they had their status set correctly. One day it shows them as on-line and the next as off-line even though they have Groove running and are logged in.
Restarting Groove 2010 or Groove 2007 did not resolve the issue. Rebooting their entire system seemed to resolve the issue and they showed as on-line again.
