Several users are reporting a problem when printing from Word 2010. The documents tend to hand in transmission and not actually print. here are some tips to help with that. In Word 2010 there is an advance option to turn off background printing. Go to Word - File - Options - Advance and then scroll down till you go printer. Uncheck "print in the background" and this should do the trick.

Hi,
There are various tips for solving the printer problems in Microsoft Office 2010. These problems with the printer may occur due to corrupted drivers installed for printing. Compatibility may be one of the causes. So, users may have to fix the problems by replacing the drivers. Also, remove all the malware infections.
A corrupted printer driver might cause printing problems in Microsoft Word 2010. If this is the case, you need to delete and reinstall the printer driver.
To perform this, you need to do the following:
First of all close all the Windows programs that are running.
Then, click ‘Start’, point to ‘Settings’, and choose ‘Printers’.
After that, right-click the default printer that you have to set up and click ‘Delete’.
Now, you need to click ‘Yes’.
Then, open the Windows OS in Safe Mode.
Safe Mode helps you to reinstall the driver in the correct manner.

We have encountered a massive problem with Print. We installed Office 2010 Professional Plus and in Word, and Word only, it will not let the printer, Konica-Minolta Biz Hub Pro 500 - this is a high end production printer, control the duplexing. There are no updated drivers from either Fiery or K-M to Office 2010. How do we turn that feature off in Word? This is a dedicated printer not on a network. Dr. B.
I have tried steps as above but still have no joy printing word documents.. I have no idea what went wrong as I am sure its worked before! Any more ideas to help? Thanks :-)
I am having great problems printing from Word 2010. When i go to print it says there is no printer installed - but the 2 printers I have are listed in the dialogue box. The printers work fine from other applications like adobe. This happened before and someone told me to change the "printer properties" before I printed (which did work) but now when I click on printer properties i don't get a dialogue box any more.
CAN ANYONE HELP A DESPERATE MAN!!!
I have a user that is trying to print a centered document. Even though I select Centered in the alignment, it still prints it to the left. She's using an HP1300 Laser Jet printer and Office 2010 professional. Any ideas?
